The Endy mattress comes in at a 6.5 on a 1-10 firmness scale, putting it at a medium level of firmness. For many customers, this will provide adequate support without causing discomfort.
Some customers, particularly those who weigh less than 130 pounds, may find this too firm for comfort.
Endy ships coast-to-coast in Canada and is able to deliver to every province, though shipping to the Canadian Territories is requires a custom delivery solution. Endy mattresses aren’t currently available outside Canada.
The Endy can only be purchased online, directly through Endy’s website or through Amazon Canada. Customers who want to try out the mattress before making a purchase can visit brick-and-mortar showrooms across Canada.
Endy’s mattress is a three-layer, all-foam mattress, and comes with a quilted cover made from a blend of polyester and spandex. The cover is removable for easy washing and care.
The comfort layer of the mattress features 2 inches of Endy’s polyurethane Comfort Foam, which is subdivided into individual, open-air cells to provide enhanced comfort and cooling. The air cell design also dampens noise and limits motion transfer.
The support layer is 3 inch thick polyurethane foam offering even, all-over pressure relief. The base layer is a 5 inch high-density polyurethane foam for foundational support.
The mattress uses a water-based adhesive. All three layers are CertiPur certified.
Endy ships with free delivery to any province in Canada, though delivery in the Territories is subject to delivery fees.
Most orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days, and customers can track the order while it’s en route.
The mattress ships compressed in what Endy describes as a “hockey bag” sized box. Once opened, you’ll need to remove the plastic wrap and allow the mattress to unroll. The mattress is lightweight, so most customers should be able to move it around their home without much difficulty.
There’s no assembly required, but customers will need a suitable base or foundation for the Endy mattress.
Endy does not offer white glove delivery or old mattress removal.
Returned mattresses are collected by nearby Endy partners, usually within 2-5 business days. Customers in rural areas may have to wait longer for collection.
Repair and replacement services apply within the warranty period, so long as the customer has not violated the mattress warranty.
Each Endy customer receives one 100-night trial per mattress per purchase.
If you return your mattress during the trial period, your purchase will be refunded in full. Mattresses may be returned for any reason during this trial period. You will not be eligible for a second trial on the same product once a return has been arranged.
Endy offers a free size exchange, but this must be requested within the trial period and will count as a completion of the trial.
Endy offers a one-time replacement or repair for defects covered by warranty.
The warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the mattress and applies only in Canada. Endy may ask you to produce proof of purchase and the lot number when claiming against the warranty.
Endy Mattress Performance
The Endy mattress provides the usual strong motion isolation common to foam mattresses.
The Endy also stands out from its competitors through its open-air cell foam construction, which provides additional motion isolation. Each open-air cell individually absorbs motion, preventing its transfer to the rest of the mattress.
This makes the Endy mattress ideal for light-sleepers or couples experiencing sleep disruption.
The Endy’s polyfoam construction gives it strong edge support, and the mattress is unlikely to sag to a significant degree at the edges. However, the bed may provide less support at the edges than in the center.
Unlike typical memory foam mattresses, this bed is temperature insensitive. That keeps the bed from sinking in the summer and firming up in the winter, creating a consistent level of edge support.
The Endy has reasonable heat retention. The temperature insensitive nature of the foam means the Endy traps less body heat than some similar models.
Polyfoam beds tend to sleep warmer than other materials, so the Endy may still be too warm for some customers who experience temperature regulation problems.
There’s not much off-gassing seen from the Endy mattress. Any off-gassing present is nearly unnoticeable and doesn’t cause detectable smells.
Off-gassing is most likely to occur when the mattress is brand new, so customers may have to wait a few days for any off-gassing to subside.
Off-gassing smells may also be noticeable during the unpacking process, due to the compact nature of Endy’s packaging.
The high-density foam used in the support and transition layers give this mattress good support. Air-cell technology creatures an even layer of support across the whole body.
The mattress has no localized support technology besides the air cells, so support is evenly distributed across the body without additional support in key areas such as the hips or back.
Overweight customers may particularly benefit from the even distribution of support across the entire sleepable area.
This mattress conforms well to sleepers, like most foam mattresses. Customers should experience a natural contouring effect resulting from the air-cell design.
Tthe mattress has a firmness rating of 6.5 on a 1-10 scale, which could prove too firm to allow proper conforming for some lighter customers.
The Endy bed has good durability thanks to its foam construction and the protective cover provided. The 10-year warranty also ensures that a bed suffering defects can be repaired or replaced by Endy. As Endy is a relatively new company, the long-term durability of the Endy mattress isn’t known in detail.
The Endy bed can be a little firm for sex, particularly for lighter couples. The density of the foam doesn’t allow much springiness, which can feel limiting. The mattress remains comfortable during sex for most customers. The foam offers a natural but not excessive degree of yield.
The foam and open-air cell construction of the Endy mattress makes it about as quiet as can be. Polyfoam is a naturally quiet material and the open-air cells cancel noise at an individual level, ensuring a quiet night for sleepers. Without internal springs, there are no significant noise-producing components in this mattress.
How Do Customers Rate the Endy?

What Type of Sleeper is Suited to an Endy Mattress?
Side Sleepers: The bed’s foam layers offer good support for side sleepers, though the lack of zoned support may leave them without support in key areas, such as the hips. Lighter side sleepers may experience a lack of conforming that will limit support.
Back Sleepers: Back sleepers will benefit from the all-over support offered by the Endy mattress and its air-cell design. Lighter sleepers may experience the same problems as light side sleepers.
Stomach Sleepers: Stomach sleepers will get the least benefit from the Endy mattress thanks to its somewhat firm nature. The body’s softer front may limit the sleeper’s ability to experience maximum conforming, and lighter stomach sleepers will be most affected.
|Under 130 lbs||130-230 lbs||Above 230 lbs|
|Side Sleepers||Good||Very Good||Very Good|
|Back Sleepers||Good||Very Good||Very Good|
The Endy mattress is a strong choice if you’re looking for a medium-firm mattress with even support coverage. Its foam composition and open air-cell structure give it an edge in comfort, motion isolation, and noise. The Endy is also cheaper than many of its direct competitors.
A lack of customization keeps the mattress from appealing to all sleepers. There are no firmness or thickness options to suit personal preference or body type. That can make the Endy a poor choice for more selective individuals or couples seeking compromise.
At a firmness rating of 6.5 out of 10, the Endy mattress can be too firm for some customers, and this is one of the most common complaints cited in reviews on Endy’s website. Lighter sleepers may find this a particular problem, as the mattress may fail to conform to their body.
Overall, the mattress is a great choice for couples suffering from disrupted sleep, and for those looking for ways to find a compromise between sleeping styles. Strong motion isolation and a low noise profile make this a good choice for light sleepers.
Customer Service: Endy maintains active customer service channels, including email, phone, and through their company Facebook page, where they respond to comments. Most reviews are positive about the Endy customer experience, even among those who decided to return the mattress.
Reputation: Endy is the largest online-only mattress seller in Canada and has built up a strong level of goodwill from its customers through its responsiveness.
BBB Rating: No BBB rating.
Years in Business: Endy Sleep has been in business since 2015. In November 2018, Endy was acquired by Sleep Country Canada and now operates as an independent subsidiary.
