Purple started in 2015 and is now one of the most recognizable online mattress companies. They’re most famous for their flagship mattress, a high-tech foam mattress topped by the Purple Grid that incorporates a patented Hyper-Elastic Polymer material. They’ve since expanded their product line to include two new mattresses as well as pillows, bedding, bases, dog beds, and more.
Currently, Purple offers just one sheet option: their signature Purple Sheets, available in all of the regular sizes (plus Full XL) and four colors. Made of 90% bamboo viscose, these sheets are designed to maximize breathability, softness, and stretchiness. They are built to perfectly fit the Purple mattress and its highly responsive Purple Grid comfort layer, but the sheets are a great match for all types of mattresses. The no-seam design on the fitted sheet distinguishes the Purple Sheets from other bamboo-based bedding and provides added appeal to these extremely comfortable sheets.
Read on to find all the details in our in-depth review of the Purple Sheets.

In-depth Purple Sheets Review
Sizing and Pricing
Purple Sheets come in all of the regular sizes as well as Full XL. Prices start at $99 for a Twin-sized set. Each set includes one fitted sheet, one flat sheet, and one or two pillowcases. The Twin and Twin XL sheet sets come with one pillowcase, and the other sizes of sheet sets all come with two pillowcases.
Purple does not list the specific dimensions of the flat and fitted sheet because of the significant stretch offered by these sheets. They are constructed in a way that allows them to fit standard-sized mattresses including those that are up to 16” deep.
Dimensions & Pricing
|Fitted Sheet Height||Pillowcases Included||Price for Set|

Materials and Construction
Purple sheets are bamboo-based, semi-synthetic sheets made of 90% bamboo viscose and 10% spandex. As with other bamboo sheets, they’re soft like Egyptian cotton and are some of the most cooling sheets on the market thanks to their high breathability and temperature-regulation properties. Additional benefits of bamboo include exceptional durability and cleanliness. Along with the bamboo viscose, the 10% spandex gives the Purple sheets their signature stretch.
Although they’re designed to go with the Purple mattress, the Purple sheets work just as well with other mattresses. The fitted sheets in this set have a unique no-seam design, which allows them to accommodate any size mattress up to 16’’ deep.
As with other bamboo sheets, the only drawback with these sheets is their relatively high maintenance requirements, which we’ll describe below.
Purple Sheet Design Options
When it comes to picking out a set of sheets, quality and performance should be the most important things to keep in mind. That said, looks can also make a difference, especially at luxury prices. Since a lot of bedrooms have specific color schemes, it’s important for customers to know what design options are available.
The Purple sheets are available in four solid colors: White, Slate (gray), Sand (beige), and Purple .
Cleaning and Care for Purple Sheets
Because Purple sheets are made out of bamboo-based viscose, they require more maintenance than lower-quality synthetic or semi-synthetic sheets. While their cleaning instructions aren’t as complex as those for sheets made of silk or Egyptian cotton, hot water and high-heat should be avoided if you want your sheets to retain their quality after regular washes.
Purple’s basic care instructions recommend that their sheets be machine-washed with cold water and a mild detergent before being line-dried or tumble-dried with no heat or at the lowest heat setting (depending on the washing machine).
One of the benefits of bamboo-based sheets is that they are wrinkle-resistant, and Purple explicitly says these sheets should not be ironed. Natural discoloration shouldn’t be an issue, and these sheets will remain resistant to stains from skin oils and sweat. That said, if you do end up staining your sheets, Purple recommends treating difficult stains with a paste made from baking soda and Dawn dish soap before they go in the washing machine. Bleach should never be used with your Purple sheets.
