Snuggle-Pedic is a subsidiary of Relief-Mart, Inc., a health products company founded in 2001. The first Snuggle-Pedic pillow was the Bamboo Pillow, released in 2015. This was followed more recently by the new Trillow Contour Pillow. Snuggle-Pedic’s sleep line also includes mattresses and related accessories, as well as child- and body-pillow versions of their classic Bamboo Pillow.
The Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow is made of a mix of shredded Biogreen Greenguard-certified and CertiPUR-US certified memory foams, the same foams that are used in their mattresses. The pillow can be personalized by adding or removing foam to suit each individual’s preferred loft.
The Snuggle-Pedic Trillow Contour Pillow is made with CertiPUR-US certified high-density 4-pound memory foam and features a contoured shape for better neck support. This 3-in-1 pillow has a removable insert that allows users to customize the loft. It comes set up as a thicker pillow (5.5 inches on the thick side and just over 4 inches on the thin side). Taking off the outer shell reveals a pillow that measures 4 inches on the thick side and 3 inches on the thin side. Another option is to cut the outer shell and use just half of it, or remove the outer shell completely and use it as a neck roll pillow (bolster pillowcases are sold separately).
Like the Bamboo Pillow, the Trillow Contour Pillow provides orthopedic support that encourages proper alignment of the head, neck, and spine. Both pillows are 100% made in Snuggle-Pedic’s California factory and come with a micro-vented bamboo polyester cover.
Read on to find out more about the specifications of each pillow and decide if a Snuggle-Pedic pillow could be a good fit for you.

How Do the Snuggle-Pedic Pillows Perform?
Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow
Memory foam pillows aren’t known for their durability, and they often develop indentations in the places where they are subjected to regular pressure. Since it’s a new model, the Trillow Contour Pillow hasn’t been around for long enough to determine its durability compared to other single-piece memory foam pillows. However, the Trillow Contour Pillow is made from memory foam with a density of 4 pounds per cubic foot, which is considered decent in terms of durability. Between the 10-year warranty and the high-quality foam, it’s safe to say this pillow will probably hold up comparatively well. Firmness Options
The pillow is shipped with a generous amount of filling that can be taken out for users who prefer a higher loft. This also gives a firmer feel, as the pillowcase is stuffed quite full. If you’re not happy with the firmness level after taking out some of the foam, Snuggle-Pedic will work with you (for free) to adjust the blend of shredded foam filling to allow for personalized levels of support, firmness, weight, and buoyancy. Whereas previously the pillow needed to be sent in to have this process done professionally, Snuggle-Pedic now offers the option to buy the pillow with a zippered cover for easy at-home customization. The pillow usually tends towards a medium-firm on the firmness scale even after adjustments.
The foams used in the Bamboo Pillow are CertiPUR-US certified and low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs). However, many customers report some off-gassing odors that take a few days to dissipate. Putting the pillow in the dryer before using it for the first time should help speed up the process. This allows the foam pieces to separate and air out after having been shrink wrapped. The smell may reappear the first few times you put the pillow in the dryer.
The whole pillow is machine-washable and dryable. Before putting in the dryer after washing, squeeze the pillow to remove as much liquid as possible. Customers who opted for the removable outer cover can also launder this separately instead of putting the whole pillow through the wash cycle. The cover fabric has proven durable even after having been washed multiple times.
The weight varies depending on how much foam is inside the pillow. Most pillows have about 4-5 pounds’ worth of foam inside at the time of purchase. The pillow is fairly heavy compared to other shredded memory foam pillows.
Memory foam is known for its unbeatable contouring abilities, and the shredded memory foam inside the Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow can be manually pushed around to create extra support where you need it most.
The foam used in the Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow offers a little more bounce than most shredded memory foam pillows. Nevertheless, like all memory foam pillows, it’s designed to conform to the shape of the sleeper’s head and neck and maintain its shape overnight. The pillow excels at providing the perfect amount of support and pressure relief. The memory foam may get pushed to the edges of the pillow, failing to provide adequate support underneath the head. Putting it in the dryer to restore the pillow’s “fluffiness” may help solve this problem.
Shredded memory foam tends to allow for better airflow than solid memory foam. What’s more, the foam used in the filling of the Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow has been treated with the company’s patented Airflow Transfer System, a process which involves blasting the foam with thousands of tiny holes for better breathability. Along with the micro-vented bamboo cover, this results in a pillow that sleeps cool for memory foam.
As it’s shredded memory foam, the Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow is quite pliable, depending on how much foam it has inside.
Snuggle-Pedic Trillow Contour Pillow
Memory foam pillows aren’t known for their durability, and they often develop indentations in the places where they are subjected to regular pressure. Since it’s a new model, the Trillow Contour Pillow hasn’t been around for long enough to determine its durability compared to other single-piece memory foam pillows. However, the Trillow Contour Pillow is made from memory foam with a density of 4 pounds per cubic foot, which is considered decent in terms of durability. Between the 10-year warranty and the high-quality foam, it’s safe to say this pillow will probably hold up comparatively well.
The Snuggle-Pedic Trillow Contour Pillow is solid memory foam, and as such, it only comes in one firmness level, around a medium-firm on the subjective firmness scale. Rhe Trillow Contour Pillow is firm enough to provide support, yet soft enough not to hurt the ears if you’re sleeping on your side.
Like the Bamboo Pillow, the Trillow Contour Pillow is made with CertiPUR-US certified foam that is guaranteed to be low in VOCs and other harmful chemicals. There may be a faint off-gassing odor that will dissipate quickly.
The cover of the Trillow Contour Pillow is machine-washable and dryable. Unfortunately, the memory foam interior can only be spot-cleaned. Snuggle-Pedic recommends treating tough stains on the foam or the cover with a small dab of color-safe hydrogen peroxide.
The Trillow Contour Pillow weighs around 3 pounds when fully put together. This is heavier than the typical feather pillow, but fairly standard for memory foam pillows. Of course, it will be lighter if you take out the foam insert or opt to use only half of the outer foam shell.
As a solid memory foam pillow, the Trillow Contour Pillow is excellent at conforming to the shape of your head and neck to relieve pressure points. The raised design provides contoured neck support while allowing your head to rest at a comfortable level for proper spinal alignment.
4-pound memory foam falls in the average range for memory foam when it comes to shape retention. The Snuggle-Pedic Trillow Contour Pillow will retain its contoured shape while you are lying on it, but should spring back to its original form not long after you get up.
Traditional memory foam naturally retains heat, which can be uncomfortable in a pillow. Since the Trillow Contour Pillow is solid memory foam instead of shredded memory foam, it sleeps hotter than the Bamboo Pillow. However, the micro-vented bamboo cover does a good job of stimulating airflow, and the pillow ends up sleeping relatively cool considering it is made of solid memory foam.
The insides of this pillow can’t be rearranged like with the Bamboo Pillow, but the thinner outer shell is pliable enough to be rolled up and used as a neck bolster.
With its adjustable loft, the Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow can be made to suit almost any sleeper, and is especially popular with side and back sleepers. The pillow sleeps cool for a memory foam pillow, which is a huge advantage for anyone who values the contouring qualities of memory foam but prefers a pillow that doesn’t retain heat. The pillow is convenient to wash and most people find it retains its firmness, although some have needed to fluff it frequently in the dryer to prevent it going flat. Many customers with chronic neck pain have found that this pillow helps them enormously.
Like all memory foam pillows, the Trillow Contour Pillow from Snuggle-Pedic responds to heat and pressure, contouring to provide support where it’s most needed. This pillow is best-suited to side and back sleepers, but many stomach sleepers have had success with it as well. People with cervical problems will appreciate the extra neck support. The removable inner part is a nice touch, as it makes it more suitable for stomach sleepers or anyone who wants less loft. This is a new pillow so despite being supportive and effective, it remains to be seen how durable it will be.
Both pillows come at a relatively steep price point, but may be worth the investment for people who need superior cervical support. The pillows are very customizable, and users appreciate the soft cover that doesn’t require an extra pillowcase. Snuggle-Pedic has received thousands of positive reviews for their customer service, as well as their customization and exchange policies.

What Type of Sleeper is Well-Suited to a Snuggle-Pedic Pillow?
Side Sleepers: The Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow provides firm support to the head, neck, and shoulders while sleeping on your side. The customizable loft can be adjusted depending on the breadth of the sleeper’s shoulders. Side sleepers with a higher BMI may find the pillow is not quite firm enough.
The Trillow Contour Pillow is excellent for side sleepers, who will find the orthopedic neck support accommodates the shoulders and keeps the head, neck, and spine aligned. Again, side sleepers with a higher BMI may prefer a firmer pillow.
Back Sleepers: The Bamboo Pillow’s fully adjustable loft makes it a great choice for back sleepers. The shredded memory foam contours well to the head and neck, and the personalized loft allows the head to rest at a height that won’t put it out of alignment with the spine.
The neck support on the Trillow Contour Pillow also allows the head to rest at the perfect height for proper spinal alignment while sleeping on your back. Back sleepers who prefer less loft can remove the foam inserts, and those who prefer less contouring around the neck can flip the pillow over and sleep on the flat side.
Stomach Sleepers: It’s possible to remove almost all the foam from the Snuggle-Pedic Bamboo Pillow to make an extremely thin pillow, which is optimal for stomach sleepers. If you sleep with your face pressed up against the pillow, you’ll also appreciate its breathable, hypoallergenic properties and smooth filling. However, stomach sleepers may find that their face sinks into the shredded memory foam of the Bamboo Pillow, making it hard to breathe.
Stomach sleepers can remove the inner part of the Trillow Contour Pillow to make a thin pillow that is better suited to sleeping on the stomach. This extra foam can then be used to provide support for other parts of the body if needed, such as the pelvis or abdomen areas. Heavier side sleepers may need a firmer pillow.
