In addition to its mattress line, WinkBeds also offers sleep accessories, including a foundation, a bed frame, an adjustable base, a sheet set, and a mattress protector.
The WinkBeds MemoryLux mattress is 12 inches tall and is composed of multiple layers of foam. The cover uses a Tencel cover tufted with 2 inches of gel foam. However, WinkBeds does not ship outside of the contiguous United States at this time. After you order your mattress, it should take about two weeks for it to arrive. The buyer is responsible for unpackaging and setting up the mattress.
WinkBeds offers white glove service for an additional $99 fee. The white glove delivery service includes moving the mattress into the room of your choice, unboxing it, placing the mattress on the frame, and removing the packaging from the mattress. Old mattress removal is available as an addition to the package. It costs an extra $60.
WinkBeds offers a 120-night sleep trial. If you don’t want to keep the mattress, you can return it for free for a full refund. WinkBeds offers a lifetime warranty that protects against defects in materials and craftsmanship. Winkbed Mattress Performance
Like most other memory foam mattresses, the WinkBeds MemoryLux mattress offers exceptional motion isolation. The high-quality foam layers work together to absorb motion and minimize bounce, which effectively isolates motion. The surface of the bed barely transfers motion, so you’re less likely to be disturbed by your partner changing position during the night.
As is the case with virtually all memory foam mattresses, the MemoryLux mattress does not have reinforced edges. Because of this, the edge support may be lacking. Without edge support, the outer edge of the bed may feel unstable when you attempt to sit or sleep near it. The foam compresses, which can make it feel like the edge is sinking out from under you.
Memory foam has a reputation for trapping heat, but the MemoryLux mattress offers enough cooling technology to promote a cooler night’s sleep than many other foam mattresses. The MemoryLux’s cover uses a Tencel tufted with 2 inches of gel foam to promote airflow while wicking away heat. The top layer is composed of proprietary AirCell Memory Foam designed to remove heat build-up.
Like most other memory foam mattresses, the MemoryLux mattress may emit a slight odor when first unboxed. While this odor is not harmful, it may be offensive to some. The odor should dissipate within a few hours to a few days if left in a well-ventilated space. The MemoryLux mattress is unlikely to have any noticeable long-term odor.
The MemoryLux mattress offers a number of features that provide solid support. This makes the MemoryLux mattress more supportive than many other all-foam mattresses. A layer of proprietary Zoned Progression Foam provides targeted support for different parts of your body, allowing the shoulders to sink in while supporting the hips to promote proper spinal alignment. The base layer of the mattress uses proprietary ATLAS Core foam, which is designed to prevent sagging for additional support. Since the MemoryLux mattress comes in three firmness options, it is also possible to select the level of support most appropriate for you.
While the level of conforming will vary between firmness options, the MemoryLux mattress does quite well compared to other foam mattresses. The cover includes 2 inches of gel foam, and the top layer is composed of proprietary AirCell Memory Foam. These two components work together to provide the hug often associated with memory foam. The second layer uses proprietary Zoned Progression Foam, which offers targeted support to certain parts of your body while allowing other parts to sink in. This can provide even greater contouring while promoting spinal alignment.
WinkBeds is known for creating durable beds, and this extends to the MemoryLux mattress. The base layer of the mattress provides added durability, using proprietary Atlas Support Foam designed to prevent sagging. WinkBeds also offers a lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship. This means that if your MemoryLux mattress doesn’t hold up, you may be able to get a free replacement mattress.
Like other memory foam mattresses, the MemoryLux mattress may not be ideal for some couples. Bounce is usually beneficial for sexual activity, but the MemoryLux and most other foam mattresses do not provide much bounce. Additionally, the level of contouring provided by the MemoryLux may make it harder to move around on the surface of the bed.
Since memory foam mattresses traditionally isolate motion well, they do not usually produce much noise. Even when compared to other memory foam mattresses, the MemoryLux mattress is exceptionally quiet. Since the MemoryLux mattress is virtually silent, it can be a good choice for people who are easily disturbed by noises.
How Do Customers Rate the WinkBed MemoryLux?
What Type of Sleeper is Well-Suited to a WinkBeds MemoryLux Mattress?
Side Sleepers: Side sleepers usually benefit from a mattress that is responsive enough to adjust to their body shape while offering enough support to prevent them from sinking in too deeply. The MemoryLux mattress’s proprietary AirCell Memory Foam top layer offers contouring and pressure relief. The layer of Zoned Progression Foam allows areas like the shoulders to sink in deeper, while providing support for areas that need it, like the hips. However, side sleepers over 230 pounds may need to select the firm mattress option to avoid sinking in too deeply. Side sleepers under 130 pounds may need to select the soft option to receive sufficient contouring.
Back Sleepers: Back sleepers need some contouring for comfort and support. However, they also need a mattress that won’t sag in the middle, which could cause the back to hyperextend. The MemoryLux’s Zoned Progression Foam layer is designed to prevent the hip area from sinking in too deeply. However, sleepers over 230 pounds may require the firm mattress option for sufficient support, and sleepers under 130 pounds may need the soft option for enough contouring.
Stomach Sleepers: Stomach sleepers usually require a firm mattress that will prevent their abdomens from sinking in too deeply. The MemoryLux’s Zoned Progression Foam layer can help provide the necessary support to promote better alignment. The MemoryLux mattress comes in three firmness options, so stomach sleepers can find a sufficiently firm option. However, the mattress still might not be firm enough for stomach sleepers over 230 pounds.
